Event Information

  • The Nail Can Hill Run – 11.3km.
    • The race start time is 10.00am.
    • The race start location is on Centaur Rd Lavington, just west of the intersection with Hanna St.
    • The race finish is at Bonnie Doon Park West Albury.
    • The course is run mainly along the ridge of the Nail Can Range that borders Albury on the west side.
    • The route consists mainly of fire access tracks with short sections of gravel and bitumen roads.
    • The course is marked with kilometre markers and directional arrows and lines.
    • There are first aid and water stations along the track.
    • Walkers can expect to take up to 3 hours to complete the course.
  • The Bike Can – Mountain Bike Ride – 15km.
    • Ride start time is 08.00am.
    • The ride start location is on Centaur Rd Lavington, just west of the intersection with Hanna St.
    • The race finish is at Bonnie Doon Park West Albury.
    • No Aus Cycling race license is required.
    • There is more than just a run on the day of the Nail Can. Yes along with the 11.3km feature race and the Half Can there is also a Mountain Bike race over a similar but slightly longer course of 13km taking in some of the awesome single track MTB trails we have on Albury’s Nail Can Hill.
    • For the serious guys and girls out there that want the ultimate challenge there is the IRONMAN & IRONWOMAN contest. Yes – compete in both the MTB race at 8am – back it up with the Full Can at 10am and battle it out for the ultimate prize.
    • Get out on your bike and have a crack at the MTB course &/or Ironman for the ultimate challenge over Nail Can Hill.
  • The Nail Can Hill Iron Man-Iron Woman
    • Enter the Ironman Ironwoman category, do the ride followed by the run.
    • Your aggregate time for the two events will determine your finish placing.
  • The Arnold’s Half Can – 4km.
    • The race start time is 11.00am.
    • The race starts and finishes at Bonnie Doon Park.
    • This is a 4km run on unsealed surfaces.
    • There are school team prizes.
    • Run it or walk it, but have a go.

Bibs can be collected at QE II square in Dean St on Saturday 2nd May, 2026 between 8am and 12am.  Registrations are done online, and bibs can be collected immediately after registration.

Bibs will be available for collection on race day as follows:

  • Bonnie Doon Park from 07:30 to 08:30
  • Start Area, Centaur Road from 08:45 to 09:45
  • Bonnie Doon Park, bibs will be available for Arnold’s Half Can from 10:00

Nail Can Hill Mountain Bike Ride – 15km

Start Time: 08.00am
Location: Lavington Spots Ground precinct Centaur Road
Start Line: just to the West of the Centaur Rd-Hanna St intersection
Finish: Bonnie Doon Park, Pemberton St, West Albury

Nail Can Hill Run – 11.3km

Arnold’s Half Can – 4km

Start Time: 11.00am
Start & Finish Location: Bonnie Doon Park, Pemberton St West Albury
The race will proceed north east through the park.
There is a road crossing and traffic control will be in effect at the crossing.

Finish Line

The finish line is in the centre of Bonnie Doon Park, West Albury.
The race course will be marked by bunting and barriers in the park area.

Bags can be dropped off at the start area on Centaur Road, Lavington.

There will be a bag drop area and bags will be transported to the finish area.
